Music Video Finale

   My team for the music video finale is Miranda Duarte, Raja Counts and Jb Araula. So far i have worked with Jb and Miranda but not Raja yet. The song we choose was Drop In The Ocean by Ron Pope. This song was chosen because we thought it was a good song for what we planned our storyboard to be. I think that with this song we will be able to capture all of our work over this school year. This is because since our song has a sad tone to it we can create effects in final cut pro to give it a sad feeling but still making it expressive and high quality.

   Our storyline is about how a girl (Miranda) loses all of her friends. After this she feels really sad and is mourning over the loss of all her friends. But then she befriends a girl (Raja) and Miranda is Happy again. In the end they are all friends again. This relates to he lyrics because it talks about losing people and the pain that comes with it. The lyrics also talk about how they want someone back and in this case Miranda wants all of her friends back in her life along with her new friend Raja. (Jb, Me, Akasha)

   This MV showcases my best work on a high level. This is because I got to include some of my skills in photoshops while helping Miranda and Raja with the movie poster. I also got to bring out some of my filming skills when we had 2 out of school meet ups and 1 in school filming session. I was able to include some camera movement in my shots to make my MV seem to have a higher quality. Lastly I showed some of my best work when me and JB were editing in final cut pro. We worked together to edit and create effects to make our MV high quality. Since this is our last project i want to put my best quality in it especially because our GT teacher Mr.Sanderl will be teaching in the high school instead of the middle school.

Movie Trailer Premier

Our project is a movie trailer. We make up an idea for our trailer and then we go out and film our trailer. There will only be a trailer so don't expect a whole movie! Our movie is gonna be about a girl (me) who gets into an argument and mysteriously disappears. Then its up to her friend (Miranda) to sole the mystery. But was she dead in the first place?I contributed to the plan of our trailer by working on the ideas. Then I also helped with the format of the synopsis. Then I also did the VA script along with Miranda. Lastly I finished my scene (scene5) including the shot types and script for it. With my scene done I just have to wait for everyone else to finish their scenes and then we can start filming.

One of the biggest challenges we had was timing. We had our first 2 meetings done pretty fast but when we tried to turn in our film from the 2nd meeting all of the film combined into a BDMV file. Because of this setback we didn't have enough time to re film this and we got a 2/4 on our rough cut. One of our biggest success would be our first meeting. We all planned this meeting well and we were able to get all of the film done that took place in Kukui Grove. Because of that we got a big chunk of our film done which made it easier to match up our audio in final cut pro.

Our critique results is about a 3/4. I am pretty happy with the results because they are accurate and are still pretty good. We did forget to put in our music but we still did good on the rest of the requirements. In this project we learned to use more skills in final cut pro. We also worked more with audio then before so overall it was a great learning experience. This time I worked in a group so it was better social skills.

Metamorphosis Animation

Our project goal is to finish our project in time for the due date. So far we have gotten a team which is Me, Jb ( Jb Araula ), and Richard ( Richard Cabalona ). This team was created because we needed a mix of genders and inexperienced with experienced. We also have been approved for our 2 focus
statements which are "Richard Developes Strength" and "Wolf Learns Love". We also started our google slide presentation so we can pitch our ideas for the animation.

 Our focus statement that we picked was "wolf learns Love" This focus statement is used to show that our character the wolf (Jb) will go through a change where he learns to love and be happy. For our first scene it Will show how the wolf and dad are playing. It will also show when the storm comes causing the dad to leave and never come again leaving the baby wolf all alone feeling sad and bitter. Then our next scene shows how time passes by and the wolf is still all alone feeling sad and bitter to the world. Then in that scene a dog finds the lonely wolf and talks to him and convinces him to enroll into an animal school. Then in the third scene he's in the school and starts to lighten up and make new friends along with the dogs help. The fourth scene has one of his favorite teachers ask him if he wants
to become a fish and live his life with a school of his friends. So he says he'll consider and come back with an answer. In our fifth scene (our last scene) he tells the teacher that he wants to become a fish so the teacher turns into one and he lives the rest of his life as a happy fish living in a school of his friends.

Our teams results were a bit over a 3 so I'm pretty happy about that. I'm satisfied with our results because we did earn he grade we worked for. We could've done better but we didn't have the time to do the extra details and make it higher quality. We used menti.com to vote and I was surprised because our grade was a bit higher that I would've though. Overall even though our team went through a few bumps we did finish our work and got a pretty good grade on it.
