Scratch Game Design

user experience influenced my game because it shows me how exact things have to be. The code only works if the computer is able to process it. If the code has a flaw it can cause a chain reaction to the whole game. It also showed me that you can create anything you can, the decision is up to you how to model it. You can do whatever your mind can think of, you can make a chase game, platformer, or collaborate to make your own game.

The features of each of my games are very different. When I did the platformer it felt more real when I was jumping it almost made it seem more 3D to me. When I made the chase game it was more 2D but it was fun to actually create a video game and it was fun to have the computer chase you.

My best code is my jumping code. This is because It was hard to figure out the right height to jump and to make it work smoothly. Even though the code isn't that long it still a long time to figure out. I over came my best bug fixes by editing them with the strategy trial and error. For example if it wasn't jumping that high i would fix it by changing it and changing it until it worked.

Invention Commercial

P2T4_Invention from Kapaa Middle School MEDIA on Vimeo
Our teams main goals for this assignment was to get all of our B-roll filmed on time, make sure the invention would work on film, and get our commercial turned in on time. To get the B-roll filmed in time we had to manage our time carefully. So we decided that we should meet up at Hanalei on Saturday or Sunday before the weekend. To make the invention work we had to get a revolver and see how it would work with the wax attached to it. Then we had to find a way to attach the scraper to the revolver. We were able to turn in our invention on time by staying focused on editing and making our time management accurate.

I think that the best team moment during our production when we were filming our B-roll at Hanalei. This is because we were really focused on what we were doing. It was also fun being at Hanalei to film, after we were sure that all our B-roll was filmed we had some fun. We went in the water and jumped off the pier. It was a good idea to go to the pier because we were on task. We also had a little fun to.

While we were editing we had to stay on task and on time. We all had a job while editing. One would chose the clips and music. One would cut the clips and put them in order. Then the last person would put transitions and final touches. With all of us working on certain part we were able to turn it in on time.

Composition Scavenger Hunt

I think that one of the most important composition technique is contrast in content, i think that this technique is important because this focuses on the object the best and makes the viewers focused on the object. This way it focuses on the one thing the best and i think that it is very unique. It makes the picture feel more alive.

I think that the most difficult composition technique is unusual angles. I think that this is the hardest one because you have to find a unique angle. Even if you do find a unique ange you would have to find away to place the camera to take the photo. This is an interesting and difficult angle.

My teammates were Ella, and Seline. They both concentrate well and have great ideas. We all collaborated on what to do for each angle. We chose which object or which person was best for each angle. This was a fun and new project to do with the cameras.

Cracking the Code

I think that coding is an important think to learn because it teaches you basically how apps are made, designed, and created. Coding helps work through problems with movement and modifications. Its a good class to learn and do as a job later on.

My first experience with coding was fun. It was exiting working through all the puzzles. Coding was a fun experience. Some of them were hard but the experience was fun to do. After each puzzle we could see what we had to do and what codes we used to move our player.

If I could create a game I would create a game that would create different moves and create mazes that other people can play. It would also be able to create your own characters to play in the game.

My Humorous Monologue

AloM_Comedy from Kapaa Middle School MEDIA on Vimeo.

I have learned many things from this project. One of the things that i learned from this project is how a joke is formed in the process and how much time it actually takes to write a joke. Ive also learned different word that are used while editing/filming, like A roll, B roll. Also i learned the steps to make a joke and a better ways to perform jokes, and how to make the audience laugh. It also shows me how to use iMovie.

Comedy Writing

Sense of humor is an important character trait because it shows the funny side of you. It shows what you find is entertaining in laughter and character. Your sense of humor is an important part of you that you have and its and important trait that you should have to show the true funny and fun side of yourself. It show how you take the funny side of life and how you create the funny side of life.

One tip for writing a humours narrative is by using old material to base it on your story but mix it up with your own material and ideas. Another tip is to have an ending in your story but make sure that its the most hilarious ending for your story. The third tip is to keep your audience entertained the whole show. The fourth tip is to know your audience. By that you have to know about your audience before performing so that way you can construct the joke so that it will make them laugh. The fifth tip is to keep on going. if you say a joke and there is no laughter just keep on going.

My comedic monologue is based on different jokes and phrases with a made up ending. My second joke is based on another but with different characters and a real ending. This is funny because its different with most of the jokes. These ones have and ending while the original jokes that i mixed and altered didn't have and exact ending of what happened then rater not having a hilarious ending.

Motivational poster

The requirements of our motivational poster needs 6 layer requirements and different design requirements. In the 6 layer requirements there will be 2 text layers all of your personal quotes and our manifesto. There will also have to be a self portrait and three images that represent you. For the design requirements we will have to Kern both text layers so there are no blank areas of un important holes. A Triadic Color Scheme is one color with 2 accent colors. Visual balance equals the weights in a design. There is a blending option and adjustment layers on your 4 layers.

This is my personal manifesto, quotes, and my 6 layer requirements and my design requirements.
